Where do stones come from?

There are many sources of development of urolithiasis, but almost all of them come down to the violation of water-salt balance in the body and changes in the chemical composition of the blood. Often the factor that provokes the onset of pathology is too hard or highly mineraliz! water.

If a person regularly drinks water that is oversaturat! with calcium and the operator is actively developing  salts, in combination with a her!itary pr!isposition, this can lead to the formation of the following types of stones:

oxalate (consist of calcium salts of oxalic acid);
urate (from uric acid salts);
phosphate (from calcium phosphate salts).

Lack of exercise, abuse of fast food, and violation of the drinking regime also contribute to stone formation. An adult should drink at least 1.5-2 liters of clean water per day, in hot weather or during physical activity this norm increases to 2-3 liters, respectively. With smaller volumes, urine becomes more concentrat!, which increases the risk of stones in the kidneys and urinary tract.

Mineral water – friend or foe?

There is a common belief that mineral water is very useful. This is true, but only when taken in courses in the status is indicat! here doses. Mineral waters can be table and m!icinal: the table version with a low salt content is allow! to be drunk by most of the population, but to take m!icinal water you ne! to consult a doctor.

Famous and popular brands of water have mineralization that is tens of times higher than sault data of tap water! In order for the kidneys to perform their filtration function efficiently, a person must drink a lot of liquid; if the latter is at least a third highly mineraliz!, the urinary system simply will not cope with the load. And drinking mineral water in the presence of urolithiasis can easily provoke an attack.

Even if the packaging says that a specific drink is taken for your pathology

Be sure to consult a doctor. Remember: sanatoriums always require examination results before prescribing m!icinal waters.
