Before you rush off to create masses of high-equity backlinks, I have (one more) warning:

Make sure your backlink profile looks natural.

(I know I’ve harped on this a few times throughout this article, but neglect this part of your link building strategy and there’s a good chance you’ll spend the next six months trying to remove a Google penalty . And believe me, that’s no easy task.)

Google rewards natural websites, but getting too many high-value links can look suspicious.

Use the criteria above for 95% of your manual link building strategy and create incredible content that is likely to naturally receive links from other websites.
