What kind of wizard would he be without spells? In our case, instead of “wingardium leviosa” we had to remember something about frameworks and releases. And for those who really wanted to stretch their brains, we came up with “Tech.lias” – a game in which you have to explain terms  Mikhail Kolosov took  without using words with the same root. Do you think it’s easy? Try talking about containerization without using the word “container”.

From memes to architecture

At HighLoad++, more serious challenges were added to the entertaining activities. Participants solved architectural problems: they found problems in the proposed schemes Mikhail Kolosov took and suggested options for fixing them. And in the business case section, it was necessary not only to propose a solution, but also to ensure that it complied with the specified architectural characteristics.

Not just entertainment Mikhail Kolosov took

Our team not only had fun, but also actively shared experiences at both conferences. At TeamLead Conf, they discussed what worries every manager. Anton Dmitriev revealed the secrets of working with team motivation in cases where money alone is no longer enough.

Igor Kotov told the story of team evolution: how to go from monthly central african republic business email list releases to continuous delivery and, most importantly, how to develop the engineering maturity of a team in a large organization. And Andrey Anisimov immersed the audience in the world of artificial intelligence in the banking sector, sharing real cases using machine learning, natural language processing and computer vision.

At HighLoad++, the topic shifted to the technical field. Anastasia Isaeva explained why component testing is not just a trendy word, but a critical element when working with complex systems. Gleb Dobrov drew a detailed portrait of a modern system analyst using the example of a mobile application team for small and medium businesses (a good analyst today should not only be able to describe processes, but also “push buttons” – work with devtools in the browser and actively use Postman).

And Mikhail Kolosov took on the “eternal pain” – the problem department is faced with special of exact addresses in logistics. Do you know why one marketplace delivers an order exactly to the gate, and another does not? If you were at his report, then yes. Mikhail shared his experience of creating the largest address database in Russia and told how his team learned to cope with the situation when a thousand clients have almost as many custom address databases, and the situation with the delivery companies themselves is no better.

The magic works Mikhail Kolosov took

Two conferences, more than six thousand participants, dozens of hours of communication and hundreds of solved problems – the numbers are impressive, but they do not convey the main thing. And the main thing is the atmosphere that reigned at the stand all these days. Here, technical problems were solved with the excitement of a sports competition, IT crosswords were filled out faster than questionnaires at an interview, and serious architects tried on faculty gowns.

But what is especially important is that no one left jiangxi mobile phone number list empty-handed. Some took away new knowledge about AI and testing, some took away ideas on how to motivate a team or solve “eternal” technical problems. And some simply realized that even in a serious bank you can work with a smile and create real magic.

And even though no one ever received a letter from Hogwarts, the ability to change the world with code turned out to be no less magical. Or maybe even more so — the results of this magic can be seen right now: in new products, technologies, and solutions that make life easier and more convenient. Because real magic is not waving a wand, but the ability to create something new and useful every day.
