Some guidelines for contacting us by email
Email outreach is not the only way female database to do link building, but it is the most common and efficient.
However, it takes more than just sending mass emails and asking people to use your content. Before you start sending emails, consider the following:
- None of this will work unless you publish high-quality content .
Here’s a good rule of thumb: Imagine that a well-known blogger happens to stumble upon an article you wrote.
Would they choose to link to it without “asking?” If the answer is no, go back to the drawing board.
Only ask for links if your content is relevant to the reader.
Sending emails to every website owner, blogger, or online publication that’s somehow related to your niche isn’t the way to go. This will land you in spam folders.
Instead, you want to target those who have an audience that will be interested in the content you are specifically producing right now.
Pay close attention to the keywords that despite using a pre-built sdk are trending and the content that’s generating the most engagement. You want to offer something that’s a perfect fit.
Please do not ask strangers for backlinks.
No, this doesn’t mean you have to be friends or even super close with the person you’re emailing.
This simply means that when they search for you (and they will), they should see that you have followed them, interacted with their social media posts, and perhaps even linked to their content.
- Never send blanket outreach requests.
Take the time to find the name and email address of the responsible contact person.
Once you’ve completed your research, you should know who you need to reach and how. To make the process as efficient as possible, consider creating some simple, flexible templates.
Here are six of my own that I use to address a variety of link building scenarios. Feel free to adapt them to your needs!
1. Offer an exclusive offer
This email allows you to give your target the gift of exclusivity. It’s a great way to achieve reciprocity.
You give them exclusive access to write about your content, and they get the opportunity to outshine their competitors. In return, you receive a backlink and advance an important relationship.
Your email might look something like this:
Hello Janice,
I really enjoyed reading the article you wrote about freelancer onboarding. As I add more contract workers to my team, this information will be very useful.
On this topic, I just completed a study on how to attract the best freelance talent, and we created a great infographic. It features some really interesting data from three freelance websites: PeoplePerHour, Upwork, and Citatior.
I’d love for you to take a first look if you think you’d like to cover it this week!
Have a great weekend!
Amanda
2. Make the entire process effortless for them
Sometimes time and understanding are real obstacles.
A prospect may be perfectly willing to give you a backlink. The problem is that they don’t have enough time or the necessary expertise to write about your topic.
If you can convince them that their audience will be interested, they might be open to you writing a guest post .
They get the backlink they want and they can provide great content to their readers without having to do any extra work.
Here is an example of what you could say:

My name is Jeremy, and I’m the social media manager at ABC Leather Goods. We were both speakers at the textile fair last year.
I noticed you’ve been writing recently betting email list about the specific challenges facing e-commerce companies in the textile industry. Do you think some of your audience might be ready to delve deeper?
I’d love to write a really detailed article for you about the impact of the latest tax and customs regulations on us. If you’re interested, let me know! I can send you the bullet points.
