SEMrush Product News At SEMrush, we are constantly looking to adapt our tools and improve the user experience. Our existence is punctuated by the continuous flow of product updates. Given the number of products added each month, I decided to launch this series of summaries to let you know about all the changes we have made to SEMrush. And with easy explanations!
The vast majority of the updates below are available in your account at no additional cost. The best thing to do is try these features out and shop let us know how you find them! Without further ado, here’s what we’ve been working on in August.
COMPETITOR RESEARCH AND MARKET ANALYSIS
Traffic analysis
A new report has been added to the tool: Top Landing Pages . It reveals the 50 landing pages that received the most inbound traffic (a landing page, or entry page, is the first page a site visitor lands on during their session).
For each of these landing pages, you will see detailed statistics on the number of unique visitors, the desktop/mobile ratio, the total volume of traffic generated by each source: direct, search, referral, social, and paid.
Here are some questions the report data can help you answer:
- What are the most visited pages of a domain?
- Are these category pages? Certain products? Or blog posts?
- What are the best traffic acquisition channels for these pages?
- What is the estimated number of customers your competitors have? (look for a URL containing something like /cart or /checkout)
- Are there any interesting regional markets that you didn’t know existed?
- Are there any significant changes in the companies’ marketing strategy, structure or priorities over time?
